Coturnix quail, also known as Japanese quail, are small, fast-growing game birds. They are popular for their prolific egg-laying and meat production. They are known for being hardy, quiet, and requiring minimal space. They come in two sizes, Standard (up to 10 ounces) and Jumbo (over 10 ounces). They come in a ton of colors and patterns. There is also a variety of temperaments. I’m working on producing coturnix quail with correct conformation, calm temperaments, and unique coloring.
